AquaKing Bio Filterbox BF-45000 is an in-line pond filter with a built-in 36W ultraviolet sterilizer. The filter provides effective filtration, removes mechanical impurities and biologically decomposes organic matter, creating optimal conditions for fish and plants.
Water purification occurs in three stages:
- Biological (using bacteria on bioballs and a sponge);
- Mechanical (filter sponge traps particles);
- UV sterilization (UV lamp prevents water from blooming and kills all harmful bacteria).
The filter cover is not sealed, the filter is mounted only above the water level. There is a viewing window to determine the performance of the UV lamp.
The filter has a basket for collecting large contaminants. Initially, water passes through this basket and then falls on sponge liners for more thorough filtration.
We recommend using starter bacteria to improve the biological filtration of water.
Over time, the efficiency of the UV lamp decreases. The lamp needs to be replaced every 8000 operating hours (every year). You also need to monitor the cleanliness of the flask so that there are no deposits on it. The filtration system should only be used with pond pumps.
When connecting to the network, it is recommended to use a voltage stabilizer.
