The PH Test allows you to determine one of the important parameters of water, namely pH (an indicator of the acidity or alkalinity of the water in your pond).
The pH value tells you something about the acidity of your water, P stands for the German Potenz, which means strength/power, H stands for hydrogen ions, which are chemically represented by H+. This means the amount of hydrogen ions in the water, which in turn determines whether your water is acidic or alkaline.
PH is displayed on a scale from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. The most important thing about pH is that it is within the acceptable range for keeping fish, and that the pH is stable. For this stability, the carbonate hardness (KH) is important. pH tends to decrease, especially in older aquariums and ponds, especially with little or no water changes. Therefore, check the pH regularly and renew 10% of the water weekly. The ideal pH level for a typical outdoor pond is between 6.5 and 7.5. When the pH is too high, you can lower it with Colombo pH-. When the pH is too low, you can raise it with Colombo KH +. The ideal pH of a pond is between 7.0 and 8.5. Higher pH is rare in ponds; however, in this case, you can lower the level.
How to test for pH:
1. Take a 5 ml water sample.
2. Add 5 drops of pH test liquid.
3. Shake the test tube.
4. Determine the pH value using the included color chart.
The package includes: 1 test tube and 1 dropper bottle with reagent.
It is possible to measure the pH parameter 40 times.
