Diseases in fish caused by these infections are easy to visualize:
- the fungus (Saprolegnia) is visible to the naked eye and looks like a plaque in the form of cotton wool, with a color from white to green.
- White dot disease (Ichthyophthirius) can be recognized by the small white dots on the skin that look like salt crystals.
Behavioral symptoms of infection with these parasites include lethargy, irritation, and decreased appetite.
Colombo Morenicol FMC-50 can be used to prevent these diseases, for example in spring and autumn.
Dosage of the preparation: 1 ml per 25 liters of pond water, which is 40 ml per 1000 liters of water. A measuring cup is included.
The dosage should be halved if the pH is below 7 and at the same time the water temperature is above 15 ° C, or if there are sensitive fish in the pond,
such as tench or sturgeon. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after 1 week.
Dosage for preventive purposes: 1 ml per 100 liters of pond water per day for 3 days.
Measure out the required amount in a measuring glass and premix with water in a container. Then spread evenly over the pond.
Decomposition: The active substances of the preparation are deactivated in the pond due to natural processes such as oxidation and decomposition by bacteria.
Keep the UV lamps off for 1 week from the start of use. Pond filtration should work as usual.
For the effective action of Colombo Morenicol FMC-50, good water quality is required, which contributes to the fastest recovery of sick fish.
Therefore, always check the water quality before and after application of the drug and, if necessary, correct with the appropriate drugs.
